why feed them ... they only have to do a useful job ... or eat their paper ...

yet another lamentable anecdote about standards

when I was at school 2emeT one took the measurement of hardness of steel: hardness brinel, ca date of 1850 everything is well defined and easy to calculate: hardness rockwel we learn just the principle but not the detail, it is in a standard, the proffesseurs do not have the right to reproduce it: it is necessary to buy the machine according to the norm to make the measure

I also ordered the same standard in the same order never paid ...

since it's simpler all that is useful for the measure of hardness rockwell is in wikipedia: useless to buy the norm to build his machine without buying it at a high price

I did not write it in wikipedia, but I congratulate the one who made it

the problem is that if you take a measurement with your built machine, the values will be questioned in the event of a dispute, because the machine will not be "official" nor passed to state controls
