But if there is no transformer there is necessarily a small power supply to reduce the voltage, because 30 leds ca is a threshold of about 60V.
So it is actually without transformer, but there is necessarily a little electronics.

rather 1,2V has 1,4Vde DDp by led

Well, I know there are leds now that have higher thresholds than that. For white and blue, it can exceed 3V.

A+

I've even seen LED 3 W unit power 300 lumens all by itself!

I received the spotlight lamp.
It is 2W for 21 led, but does not light more in my opinion than 300 lumen. The luminous flux is very directed and more adapted to the spotlights (like lupiotes halogen, headlight of car, etc).
That said, it is remarkable to see that it hardly heats.
On the other hand for the electrical conso, with identical luminous power (~ 1000 lumen), that would make 6 / 7W ... it approaches the low conso bulbs, but it lasts longer ...

Actually ... by switching to led we go from 70 to 100 lumens by W is 42% more light output.

The concern is that we are economically not able to make LED bulbs whose brightness would be greater than 500 lumens (5 W led is about 50 Led classics)

For the moment I think that the LEDs can only replace the ceiling / spot halogen (12 or 220 V) which are also very directional ... and we have a brightness of 490 (model 35W halo and 5 W Led is 50 Leds) and 700 (50W and 7W Led is 70 Leds) ... but at a cost more than 3x higher for the purchase ...

Otherwise for the life, perso I never saw a fluocompacte cramer ... And it is 3 years that I use (almost) exclusively compact fluorescents.

On the other hand I ask myself a question about the conso of the compact fluorescents (like that of the neon) in the phase of starting ... Is it not + important than the nominal power given?

It happened to me more than once, especially if you have surges on your network elec, they fall like flies ...

I have fully equipped my home fluocompact 8 years ago and on the 12, barely 2 were replaced last year, and again, it was lamps that I had brought back from my former home ...
