Hello
answer to econology
it is relative (not expensive) it is $ 0,06 per kw and less if you adopt the bi energy program that is to say that exceeding -10 you have another way of heating yourself (this is where the 'we see a 100w light under the meter to make him believe that it is not -10)
There are always ugly rascals.
No dear, that doesn't mean available ...
If each French citizen makes an entry of 200 amperes, you will have serious distribution problems with a low voltage network in the cities that will take a quantity of transformers and heavy wiring ...
To heat a small house it takes an input of 200 amperes under 220volts single phase and when it is very cold, everyone pulls on the wires, the ice does not have time to take on the wires, the problem is peak consumption. Certain Steelworks or aluminum smelters, must limit their consumption in peak time, it consumes more megawatts than a city. (They have to consume more in summer, instead of closing down slowing down their activities,)

Hello everybody
Econology wrote:If you know of sites potentially interested in spreading news about the Kyothome program, please let us know here.
I suggest you relay the info on my Forum Ecocitizens who is still young (2 1/2 months) but who already has a good number of members aware of the environment and I had never heard of this program so maybe the members of my site either ...
The only problem is that I can't take care of it during the Christmas holidays so if someone is interested in taking care of it ... : Wink:

So much for my contrib ... :P

To econology,

"With the rise in the price of fuel oil, many people have converted to electricity and hydroquebec (EDF for you)"

1) Really? Do you also have very inexpensive electricity?
In France with nuclear power we can "understand" it but with you I did not know ... Such a conversion is an energy heresy but good ...

Rest assured, Quebec produces electricity thanks to dams
that they have installed almost everywhere. sometimes even real
technological masterpiece. It is therefore renewable and relatively ecological energy. It is not comparable
to France.
For the moment their biggest problem at this level is that it does not
not raining masses (the fault with climate change?) and
that the levels are at the lowest for a few years.
Note that with the snow they have now it should work out
they are 42 cm in Montreal at the moment.

Must ask Andre to confirm what I write.
relies on listening to news on www.rockdetente.com (Outaouais) and Radio Canada (radio / TV).

Hello,
That's right it just fell 41cm where I am in 12 hours, but it is not finished, it is nothing but the beginning of winter, normally we receive a 2 meters spread over winter, it finished by huddling,
and from time to time a small layer of white paint, on the old snow it is more plump.
But for water, as I said before it is because the layer of ice prevents evaporation losses that our reservoirs build, with the warming of the planet, I am not sure that the quantity of water dams will be there.
If the levels are at the lowest it is because they have contracts with the USA in summer, and they sold too much, it is a whole business
electricity.
The streets are cleaned with machine graders which is used to make the road earthworks in summer.
Tomorrow morning shoveling, if I want to open the door.
