In 1997, Edward Teller (father of the H bomb and other junk ...) from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory published a dossier on the feasibility of reducing global warming by injecting particles reflecting part of the solar radiation.
According to the latter, the cost of such a project would be low compared to real measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Bonjour à tous
My main approach is to promote clean energy at the expense of dirty energy, as you know.
But, instead of eliminating fossil fuels to reduce greenhouse gases, some scientists are proposing to do geoengineering, which mainly consists in seeding our atmosphere with fine particles which reflect sunlight in order to cool the planet .
What would be the side effects of such an undertaking on the environment and the health of living beings? The least we can say, right now, is that we would be playing the sorcerer's apprentice. But should I use the conditional in this last sentence? Because it seems that it has already started and without our knowledge, according to the documentary (2010) which has just been made available online, entitled "What in the world are they spraying?". Here is the trailer
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=te_FOsKL_5Q
and if you want to watch the entire documentary (1 hour 37 minutes), go to
http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/what-in- ... -spraying/
We are talking about “chemtrails” (abbreviation for chemical trails) which are becoming more and more pronounced on a global scale. Chemtrails are produced by planes at high altitude, and appear as white streaks in the sky, left by planes. We have been used to seeing the “contrails” (for condensation trails) which are due to the condensation of water vapor which naturally escapes from the nozzles. But these contrails dissipate quickly and form streaks whose length is relatively limited in the sky. On the other hand, the chemtrails go from one horizon to another and spread out to form diffuse artificial clouds, which, combined with other parallel and perpendicular chemtrails can give a milky cover on immense surfaces.
However, geoengineers have identified aluminum powder as the most pragmatic way to reduce global warming in this way. And guess what recent water and snow soil analyzes detect at levels tens of thousands of times higher than natural concentrations? Aluminum !!!
The negative impacts on agriculture and health are potentially catastrophic, and people are mobilizing more and more, everywhere.
Unfortunately, 90% of people don't even know it exists.
So, if you judge for yourself, after watching the documentary, that the facts speak for themselves, don't hesitate to disseminate the information.
Sincerely
Pierre Langlois, Ph.D.

Mwouahahahaha I like your "deadpan" side. There I am folded.
More seriously. calculations had been made to find out whether the permanent spraying of aircraft at high altitudes did not have an impact on global warming (as you say elsewhere, there are a billion passengers a year, that's a lot of flights) and when the 'we see that their streaks are spread in width (and which is not water vapor of roses ...), we can not help thinking that there is an impact (notwithstanding - and if only ... - by the simple fact that they use kerosene and that it is an energy ... fossil, responsible as such for said warming).
So all in all: the essential question is not whether or not there is an impact, but "How big" ...

This was demonstrated following the cessation of civilian flights following the attacks of 11/09/2001.
It was found that the thermal amplitude day / night was higher in the absence of air flight.
The "contrails" therefore have a real impact on the climate.

To read (in english), an article on the subject of the impact of condensation trails on the climate:
http://edition.cnn.com/2002/TECH/science/08/07/contrails.climate/index.html
http://edition.cnn.com/2002/TECH/science/08/07/contrails.climate/index.html
The thin wisps of condensation that trail jet airliners have a significant influence on the climate, according to scientists who studied US skies during a rare interruption in national air traffic after the September 11 terrorist attacks.
During the three-day commercial flight hiatus, when the artificial clouds known as contrails all but disappeared, the variations in high and low temperatures increased by 1.1 degrees Celsius (2 degrees Fahrenheit) each day, said meteorological researchers.

DECRYPTION - The CIA will fund a geoengineering study aimed at improving its climate manipulation techniques. Objective: to slow down global warming.
The CIA is preparing to finance, to the tune of $ 630.000, a scientific study aimed at determining how humans can use geo-engineering - or deliberate manipulation of the climate - in order to modify the terrestrial environment, in particular to reduce the global warming. This research, which will take place over 21 months, wants to lay the scientific, ethical and legal bases for a discipline which, if not properly mastered, could have cataclysmic consequences.
Concretely, scientists will look, for example, at controlling the sun's rays. Indeed, if they managed to limit, even very weakly their intensity - by sending for example reflecting mirrors in space - that would cause a drop in temperatures on Earth. Such cooling could notably slow global warming, say the scientists who will participate in the study.

$ 630 is very little (for the problem) and a lot at the same time since we already know how to do ...

I really like the involuntary humor of this formula:
For those whose neurons would be adversely affected by heat, I force myself to specify that this pseudo "discipline" is intended as a response to the consequences of the anthropogenic use of science and uncontrolled technique ... (and worse , imagining a parade, this demonstrates the will not to control!).

the remark on the contrail is interesting!
when we see the earth from space we see the white clouds so more reflective than the cloudless earth
to reduce the energy received from the sun you need a lot of cloud!
It contradicts those who classify water vapor as a greenhouse gas ... but water vapor does not remain in the atmosphere in the form of vapor, but in the clouds in the form of particles which changes all !
we saw at the beginning of this subject big stupidity spraying real pig in the upper atmosphere ... it is better to just increase the evaporation of water!
so irrigate desert! double benefit! make photosynthesis work to produce useful things, and make more clouds to modify the climate!
if we have doubts about the effectiveness of the effect on the climate we are at least sure of what we will produce by irrigating
