Good evening,

If electricity has been exempted from carbon tax, it may be to counter the medium term Voltatis boxes.

The carbon tax has been widely criticized and touted as an unfair tax, people will turn away from other energies taxed for the benefit of electricity and will no longer see the incentive to consume moderately.

That said, the 2 (?) People who most passionately attacked this company did not have much presence in the forum (Monique = 1 message) and our retiree EDF, I think it was the same thing ...

So, you can not have an opinion based on solid foundations...

PS: By the way, Monique, do you have to kill yourself or hide yourself?

This is my concern. At worst, even if the consumer does not necessarily reduce its consumption, but arrives thanks to this box, to avoid the start of fossil energy plants (so less CO2), it's already not bad.

So financial gain or not, is the planet winning with Voltalis?

Well, I thought I answered ...

Personally, I do not consume enough to be eligible.
But if you have an electric heater, you should ask them for a contract and see what he says! If there is no obvious scam (like pay before you have anything), take the test ... And inform us 8)

A fact which goes "in the same direction" EDF obviously does not seek to reduce its production = our consumption

Big cold: this economical contract that EDF prefers to hide

While looping the refrain of "peak consumption" and the risk of "blackout", a local asked me what solutions were available to us to cope. There are some very simple, but EDF hides them well.

RTE (Electricity Transmission Network), the public company that manages our good supply, has looked at the issue by drawing inspiration from "policies implemented in the past". In its 2009 forecast report, page 48, two solutions that could have been found alone are stated:

1. increase supply
2. lower the demand.

Ecologically, there is no photo ...

"The first mechanism that has appeared historically, and still the most important in terms of power reduction, is the" peak day cancellation "tariff options, or EJP (created in the 1980 years), which is no longer available to consumers today. but can be kept by those who had previously chosen) and "Tempo" (which succeeded him in the 1990 years), options that are still currently part of the regulated tariffs. "

(...)

But here, the press service of EDF tells me that these two contracts are "historical", that is to say they are no longer marketed because the pricing policy has changed. In fact they still exist, as evidenced by this page of the EDF site, but instructions have obviously been given not to say.

By insisting on the telephone operator, local residents were able to obtain this contract. It is just necessary to know it. It can not be refused but it must not be communicated. Officially:

"Tempo has been replaced by a comparable system, the full-time / off-peak rate: the consumer chooses, at the time of the signature of his contract and according to his individual choices, which will be his full hours and his off-peak hours much cheaper. "

(...)

As far as I am concerned, even when I insisted and moved to the EDF agency, I was unable to obtain the Tempo contract.

“I was told that my contract is too recent (I moved in May 2010) and that only“ old ”contracts (I don't know the deadline) could still claim it.

New contracts (which can be recognized by the fact that their number begins with "6000") must be satisfied with the "peak hours / off-peak hours" rate.
