I read somewhere that this crash was due to a load that stalled on the plane (a tank) which unbalanced the plane.

Plausible. But can you load a tank into a 747 cargo ship?

Yes I had heard a "problem with the loading"

No cuicui, I don't think we can, a tank is too heavy ... since a 747 has roughly 40 tons of payload ...

What is strange is the very very high attitude and the trajectory: the plane no longer flies, it falls as if it no longer had any engine thrust!

Indeed, even in the event of too much centering, the full throttle motors should have made it possible to control the stall a little. Impressive in any case.

A fatal accident ... very stupid!

"On Sunday, July 30, just after noon, Bill Reed and Gary Palmer were in the process of leaving Oshkosh to fly back to Ottawa. They were taxiing to the runway in Bill's RV-6, with Bill in the pilot's seat. During one of the periods that they were stopped waiting for the planes ahead to move forward, they were overrun by a Grumman TBM Avenger. The prop of the avenger worked its way through the fuselage of the RV to the cabin, where it struck Gary, killing him instantly. Although the prop damaged the pilot's seat behind Bill, Bill was uninjured and has since safely returned to Ottawa.

The chapter 245 executive will be contacting members who do not have email access by telephone to pass along this news. "

A terrible accident - Gary was a very active guy in the local aviation community and had been chapter president for the last 10 years.
