Yeah apart from the software, it's really very abstract. There is a little info on the project (the car not the software;)) here:
http://www.xof1.com/fhome.html
and on solar cars in general. Aerodynamics and weight are in any case useful elements for any type of propulsion and given the development of large vehicles (ex 4x4) as econology points out, we are still far from it: '(.
I doubt it is just a government problem.
The car stinks, it pollutes, and it makes stupid!

Sorry no but it looks more like a flying saucer than a car your thing .... it is currently difficult to transfer to the general public ... (just for reasons of visibility)
Projects like this have been around since the photovoltaic cells have existed ... in addition there is no info on the FR part of the site ... you have to go there to get them: http://www.xof1.com/homehello.html
Hey funny the support truck which must follow the car for technical assistance, I hope it runs at least in oil :
Then do well to check the pressure of their tires ... would gain 5% of conso

Yes thank you your link is better thank you.
Well if not of course I don't believe it either (or not for a long time) that it can be used by everyone but hey I can't say no directly otherwise we will say that I am part of the "big plot" of pessimistic scientists

I did not say NO directly .... it's been over 5 years that I see dozens of solar cars of this type ...
For the "big plot" will see the project sponsors ... in there is Solar Shell
You never see a thermal car with solar (electrolysis) eh? At least that would be a solution that can be applied quickly and allows substantial savings (10 to 20% I would say with panels that charge an H2 bomb when the vehicle is stopped) on oil consumption ...

Well think what you want, but given the seriousness with which the people at solidworks have developed their software and additional modules, I can only believe being a user.
Besides, I really don't see how they would be interested in leading people by boat, it would break their business.
Finally, everyone has their own ideas, mine is that I trust engineers at solidworks much more than engineers at renault, they don't have the same class and even less the same skills.
Some seek to bring reality closer to a screen to avoid waste, while others strive to develop waste and the consumer society through screens.
I chose my side, and it should still be noted that the engineers at renault, they do not spit on the job that do those at solidworks, it allows them to earn even more money on our back by avoiding making bunch of prototypes.

The seriousness of the mechanical and software side of the development of this car is indeed not to be doubted concerning SolidWorks, on the other hand nothing is said on the driving technology, so there one can have doubts

I admit that we can have doubts, but I am confident, they are not phony those who work at solid.
On the other hand, the question to ask is whether they are under pressure from the oil lobbies.
It is a fact that would not surprise me.
Or quite simply, they do not want to say more so as not to suffer from it and see their beautiful business collapse.
I would be in their place I would watch what I disclose anyway.
