Ah? You who swear by the Wiki!
You see that this is not the perfect solution ... it does not exist anyway!
I made exactly that remark a few days ago: a wiki requires a lot of active people to be well managed!

chatelot16 wrote:that raises the question of the financing of a site by which readers ... it is nice to give the site can disappear anyway

And yes when I tell you that it is the big galley to maintain a site (= this forum) Afloat right now it's not for nothing! But I have the impression that it does not move many people ...

A site without funding will disappear faster in all cases, whether this funding be advertising or participatory ... it is the law of "dough"!

I know where the Internet is going now and I do not like it ... but, after all, it's the will of Internet users, we will have the web we chose to have ...

I understood it correctly.

It's just that it was curious, a kind of hiatus ...

Why OR? 2 are completely complementary ...

Some Internet users prefer to watch videos, others to read ... and as video search engines are now more and more distinct from textual search engines, these 2 means of communication have to be used ...

when I quote the advantage of mediawiki as a way of classifying information I do not say that it is a perfect system ... I even say that it is a system that is not finished because it has too much gap security that makes it unusable when there are not enough people to defend it! on this point we agree, a small media wiki in public is quickly spammed

but we must see the advantages of what exists to do better!

for my project it will take good computer scientist to do better than the current mediawiki ... but by waiting it is possible to use mediawiki limited access to a limited number of participants to make a collaborative document writing

Finally I do not know how writing is done in wordpress when several people have permission to write ... is it exactly who wrote what? can one easily cancel a writing? with mediawiki we have these posibilities

Of course, of course I would say ... as long as you have the rights ...

It is obviously less open than a Wiki that is based on a pooling of content by all readers, even if not registered (but less and less valid on wikipedia at least). On Wordpress you need an account with the necessary rights for writing ...
