Interesting infographic:

http://www.lemonde.fr/les-decodeurs/art ... 55770.html

She points out that "there is no indication that this will last."

Two of the explanatory elements given are the severity of the flu in 2015 and the heat wave.

What is true.

But there is no indication to the contrary either, even if indeed, the flu seems less severe for now (and for those who are vaccinated, the vaccine seems significantly more effective - last year, the "forecast" of the Strain had been messed up! FYI, a vaccine is put into production long before the epidemic develops, so there is a "forecast", based on data collected from around the world; and sometimes, it does not. not going as expected).

So maybe, we will start up again ???

And the heat wave of 2003?

Much more deadly ... did not, I believe, affect these numbers (or?)

The heat wave of 2003 was before the law on parity, it had only lowered women !!!!

If, authentic! [the law is bullshit; but the fact is!]

There have been some slight drops (0,1 year) for women, 2003, 2012 (why ???), 1983 (why ???) ...

But for the 1ère time since a long time, 1969 so, it is men and women who fall together and it is much more important (- 0,3 year or - 0,4 year respectively!). As written, you have to go back to 1969 to have a -0,4 year (for men, that year).

If we look at the infographic to which I put the link, towards the end, we can see that it is a question of statistics, as the histograms vary from one year to another ... "rolling average over 5 years", for example, to smooth things out and make things more readable perhaps ...

To be continued !

Hello
the flu has very little influence on the life span
See pdf page 4
http://www.invs.sante.fr/Dossiers-thema ... 2-mai-2015
see INV's flu pdf
The key points
• Influenza epidemic, dominated by influenza A (H3N2)
- 9 weeks of epidemic
- 2,9 million visits for ILI
- 55% of virus A (H3N2)
• Important impact
- Near 30 000 emergency room calls for flu
- 3133 hospitalizations among these passages including 47% among 65 years and over
- 1558 severe cases of influenza admitted in intensive care
- Excess of 18 300 all-cause deaths during the influenza epidemic, concerning 90% subjects older than 65 years
- This excess mortality is linked to influenza and other winter factors
- Excess 90 000 deaths also observed in 13 15 countries participating in the European monitoring of winter mortality

Since there were only 3133 serious cases and only 1558 serious in intensive care, the total number of deaths can not exceed this last figure.

..... the increase in mortality rates after 65 years, due to three health episodes in 2015: flu in the first trimester, heat wave in July and cold snap in October.
