No, I wouldn't calm down because I'm calm ... it's common sense ...

The guys who spit on the consumer retail system but who continue to enrich and endorse it, frankly ...be consistent guys please!

It's just like Image jonule the notorious (pseudo) anarchist who teaches morality and anti nuclear notorious but who surfed exclusively on the forum from his job as a civil servant ... and heated with electricity!

Go see your butcher or your local pastry baker (if you are lucky enough to have more !!) and you will change your mind about the quality / price ratios of the large distribution ... It may have been the best at a time but probably not anymore !!

The problem is that the shits pull on the increase in prices in the large distribution by assuming that there is more than THIS MEANS to buy in France! People moan but do not even go to see small traders, it is necessarily better in mass distribution ... bunch of naive ...

yuck! the butcher I say not, but around the house we have 5 bakeries within a radius of 400m, 3 more making 200m more.

if we just ask for "a baguette", well the taste and the quality ... thank you! orange blossom at all costs, baguette dry after 2 hours ...
Even young people just installed, their bread is inedible!

those who get by? the industrial bakery (bread warmers), and a bakery (part of a local chain of bakeries) whose basic baguette is a French traditional baguette. At least they understood everything, by doing more the price is almost the same as the basic rod, and much better!

otherwise, it takes 20cts more for a French traditional baguette.

They don't make the effort since they have their customers anyway!

To make a baguette last longer? Ask for one not overcooked ... and grill it on the toaster as you go!

There are bad apples everywhere ...

On the other hand, you will not make me believe that the quality of industrial bread is better, on average obviously, than that of your 8 independent bakers ... or else you really have no luck in your neighborhood ...

But it's not just the baguette in life ... round breads and pastries what does it give?

To make it last, there is also the bread bin or the tea towel from our grandmothers ... here is an idea of an ecological gift that you could ask for Christmas (the hutch not the tea towel when you don't have to push it :D) ... it will change from the latest trendy mp3 player ...

The pastries, it's pretty much, it's almost inversely proportional to the quality level ...

round breads (balls) or breads of 2, it is variable, but often, it is exactly the same taste ...

Well, if I had time, I will make a comparative guide to bakeries in the neighborhood ... but I have something else to do, so see you later! 8)

Well the quality of a bread is mainly linked to the quality of the flour ... if the 8 bakeries use the same flour for the baguettes there is nothing surprising ...

But still: 2h ...

Totally agree!!!!

Otherwise, for the bakery, the butcher, etc., I also completely agree !!!
Well, it makes me think that in Bouillon there is a pastry bakery (with tasting room upstairs) which makes super good pies and cakes at reasonable prices Image

Well we will go when you pass but we also have a good pastry chef in Paliseul.

Since we are in Belgium we are blown away by the quality / price ratio of pastries at pastry cooks ...style 5 € to 7 € per pie (including fruit pie) 6 people (not frozen, homemade of course)! From 0.8 to 1.2 € for individual pastry (not the basic eclair but a millefeuille style trick ...).

The bread is also rather good and nice (when it does not cut it into cigarette slices, it is also Belgian specificity !!) but quite expensive (2 € for 800g) ...

Too bad they haven't even started baking Belgian bakers ...

Yes, we do chopsticks ...

For the thickness of the slices, just ask.

For your pastry in Paliseul, I am open to all taste adventures : Mrgreen:
