A cappuccino one!
You are free to think that it is "natural" foam ..... For my part, I have been going to the sea in the area every year for more than 50 years and I have been there for more than 20 years. live, and I have never, ever seen so much foam (sea foam ... of). On the other hand, every year, it seems to me to see a little more ..... At the rate or it progresses, let's say in 10 years the foam will cover the coastal towns during storms .......

Reason is the madness of the strongest. The reason for the less strong it is madness.

The sea produces foam naturally. The micro-surface layer of the sea contains many organic molecules that have surfactant properties, biosurfactants (if produced by living).
Those who have seawater aquariums use a skimmer that thanks to bubbling ensures cleaning of the seawater by removing these molecules surfactants. This is a real foam.
After, it is not inconceivable that pollution increase this effect because the hydrocarbons will surface and as soon as they are partially photo-oxidized (solar UV + oxygen - first part of my thesis work Oceanology) and will therefore behave like surfactant molecules and thus increase the production of this sea foam.
In any case, these photos are really impressive, but I saw a lot of foam on the pond of Berre which is subjected to a strong Mistral and the rejections of the petrochemical industry and the cities which surround it.
