Hello everyone
I have a petrol car but I really want to make a car
oil rolling test with a diesel.
I have the opportunity to acquire a renault 21 diesel used, I believed
understand that only branded high pressure pumps
Bosch accepted the passage of his problems.
can he tell me what is the brand of the pump on a R21
diesel, can I run a test without risk (by gradually increasing the ° / ° of oil), which has already turned a R21
oil (or even recycled vegetable oil)?
I did some research before asking the question, there is a site
referencing the models but no reference on the 21
(model too old ??) so thank you in advance to let me know your
experiences.
a chao ...
R21 and diesel oil?

hello titus02
the car brand does not mean anything
the manufacturers go up independently of the bosch, the roto, the lucas or other on the same type of vehicle it is according to the market, one day it is lucas car -cher and two days after it is a bosch or a roto
the simpler you open the hood and you look
I did the test on my bx a 30% it works nickel (pump bosch)
I could have gone to 50% but since I pass every day in front of the customs I stop

Hi Titus,
I have an old R21 GTD, I turn at 30% rapeseed then two full. And no problem, apart from the cold that settles and that will force me to lower the dosage due to fluidification.
Otherwise after three years set 100 000 terminals I'm pretty happy, the car arrives at 370 000 km and the engine holds up well
But I can not tell you what is the brand of the pump
In any case 30% it is without risk

thank you for your answers, I did not have the opportunity to lift the hood
because I have not seen the machine yet (it's planned for tonight).
one last question if you have patience: is it easy to
to change the pump if it is not the right brand?
think for example the diameter of the pipes, the available space, etc ...).
good running to all (I spoke cars recess!).

No it's not easy at all and not really recommended given the settings to be done later.
The price of the change will cost you almost the price of a used car well equipped and equipped with the right pump ...

All xantia TurboD front 1997 are mounted in rotary pump bosch.
After that changed and ... the problems started !!!
In addition it sells a misery (old car inside)
This summer I was very close to 100) ° /. , she often drinks acetone and it does not flinch.
At the moment I am at about 60 ° /. to not take risks.
Except that I wonder if should not do closer flush!
In addition all 80 000 (or more) we do not have to put 400 zeuros in amortizas but 20 zeuros in spheres re-inflated.
Well, I was a little HS, but hey ... It was to react on the good case of OCCAZ.

if your 21 is a 2 phase it is a J8S with a bosh pump
otherwise it is roto-mounted 852 (those that have the rectangular air filter in the intake manifold)

it's a luca
Thank you again for your answers
I saw the beast, it is 21 diesel 88 alas equipped in luca,
she has 300000 terminals, sleeps in a shed and started from
first shot despite more than 2 months of inactivity (if I believe the owner) apart from that it is nickel, no suspicious noises, impeccable body clutch OK, echap line almost new, for 500 euros I think I'll go qq even try the experiment even if I have to limit 30 / 50 ° / ° of mixing.
For karthoum, even if I'm not very old I'm OK with you
concerning citroen, I almost had all the range: ds, bx, cx, diane 2cv etc ... it's funny this image of grandfather car while the brand has released the revolutionary models (ds, traction) that have left at the time the other brands was light years, if I could again I would not hesitate to make a ds my car every day!
I'll let you know about my oil change
good continuations to all
