Hello

Thank you for your answer André.
A stupid question maybe, but if we put a little oil (rapeseed oil for example) in the E85 to oil the valve tails it could work?
Yes it is true that I would like to find a solution so that our cars can work at E85, but hey I do not know much about it is why I turn to you.

It's not a question of lubrication, the hot gases coming out of the exhaust with the alcohol paritally burns the valve stem where it is attached to the saucer raz, the part that is in the guide no problem (I do not have my valves anymore I gave it for a school)
But it is necessary to learn the new engines have valves made in materials more resistant especially sodium hollow valves) this one rests with the alcohol.
Although I guess the E 85 must have been refined to remove its acidic side from the alcohol.
At the accol exclusively there were problems of corrossion of the exhaust pot and the internal parts of the engine, especially the cars that roll only on Sunday and which serve to go to the high mass, then rest in a garage, those who rolls to dry the condensation of engine oil and exhaust is a lesser evil (the cars that smoke white back and the water flows through the exhaust pipe is not very good)
I make one or two 3mm holes in the exhaust pipes at the low point to let the condensation flow.

André so I can keep hoping to roll my 406 E85, with a kit?
Even if we do less km than 95 as an ad I've seen here I think, the mechanic said that instead of 300 000 km we only 200 000 km, not already badly it leaves time to see the progress of the automobile for the future, knowing that my 406 has about 70 000 km and that I do between 15 000 and 20 000 km by and sometimes less.

Hello

Do not worry about the kit (the calculator does it).

Carefully maintain your wheelbarrow, do not shoot cold, drive clean and you will ferrate 500 000km : Lol: : Lol: : Lol:

Hi Zac,
So I take care of nothing and the calculator 406 deals with whether I'm in gasoline or E85 or less if there was gasoline mixed with the E85?

Hello,
the only reference to what comes to escape is the Lambda probe that gives it.
For the advance it is the knock sensor (electric piezo which measures the vibrations of the engine)
it's the only two place where we can differentiate the fuels in an engine,
All other sensors are with the temperature or the air mass swallowed or depression or position sensors TPS ect ..

Hi zac,

Do you think it's possible to mount such a kit on a R21 Nevada GTS 1986 that I'm retyping but not controlled by an electronic calculator?

There will be anyway that E85 in the stations so I do not care about FLEX-Fuel ............

Hello,
Jean I'm in the same case as you because I also have a Porsche 928 1981 and I would be interested also to ride E85.

For the Nevada, it is useful utility to carry stuff (the old car of my son, she has 375000kms).

By the way, I saw a program on "Porsche enthusiasts in the world", it was on ARTE in the evening at 20:40 pm not very long ago; I can find it, I recorded it on a cassette but we must be able to watch it via the internet on the ARTE site. I'm looking for (28/01/2007):

here it is ==> http://www.arte.tv/fr/recherche/1442948.html

In video we only have the presentation of the show, by clicking in "artevod" they must rent or sell the show to download for a few euros (peanuts compared to the price of your restored car !!!).
On the ARTE website, by typing Porsche in "search", there are plenty of others ....
