Hello,
Jean, I'm from Montluçon : Wink:
A question can we try to put 5 liters of 90% alcohol (90% ethanol and 10% methane) for 50litres of SP 95?

As a reminder, here is the list of E85 stations
http://www.korridor.se/aryan/acadiane/E ... country=fr

Otherwise for petrol cars we can run 50% Ethanol on cars with E10 standard (normally year post 1988)
E10 means 10% Ethanol, and this means that materials resistant to ethanol are used, notably fluorinated plastics.
Manufacturers started using these plastics in 1980
I drive ~ 50% E85 or ~ 40% Ethanol in a 2001 car, no problem.

For higher percentages, cars with electronic fuel injection and a Flex Fluel Kit are required.
It is the beginning in France but we can already find sellers and installers.

code: Select all

Kit Automatique FullFuel
http://flex-e85.net
Kit Manuel FlexTek (arrivée des automatique courant de ce mois)
http://www.borel.fr
Kit Automatique BORE85 (FullFlex sans doute)

The best thing is to contact the seller, he will tell you what can be done on your car.

An article by Motor-Nature on E85 conversion kits ...

I quite agree with the general turn of this article and to be honest, I think those who are currently rushing into the market for "conversion kits" are margoulins ( scammers ?) who just want to enrich themselves by taking advantage of the stupidity of motorists still crying over the dearness of their fuel ... :?

Yes it is true when we read the article I have the impression that E85 would be like acid : Cheesy: On the 11th full, no more joints : Mrgreen: No, don't overdo it, it looks like an article from an automobile manufacturer :D I understand that the car manufacturers do not encourage anyone to drive on the E85 but to change their car (still a nice profit for the capitalists) 8) Let's be like St Thomas and after if the seals, the valves etc ...
are melted by the E85 : Cheesy: So I would buy a new car designed for, but I think that before buying this car I still have a lot of km to do with my old :P With E85 : Lol:

hello i will have several questions

here is driving clean I'm interested
I had thought about equipping my LPG vehicle but I woke up too late and suddenly finished the famous bonus! install the LPG only prove profitable after 8 years if I install it (with my own money : Cheesy: )
we've been talking about ethanol for some time
ok
I saw that near my house they will install a pump
- is someone already running on ethanol? because i read that a so-called%, etc. but nobody is using it ???

- can we fill up directly or do I have to make a mixture (super + ethanol type)?

- are the famous kits useful or not? opinions seem divided!

thank you for lighting my lantern!

Yes, there are people who drive on E85

I use it 50% in my car without modification.
The box is useful beyond 50% on my car, because above my calculator no longer understands and I consume galore.

The box is really useful because it will manage the injection according to the fuel in order to have optimum settings in terms of consumption.

ok I have a little old car (1992) and a new one
so if i have followed everything 50% without modification
but if I want to roll that the case will prove useful?

Normally post 1988 cars are E10 standard and support ethanol.

You must take your drink before going to E85.
To see if you don't overeat too much.
Too high a percentage of ethanol can pre-turburate the car, the calculator will not understand and will start to stuff the engine with fuel.
It is the "degraded mode", on some car there is a warning light.
The percentage depends on the car, to my knowledge there is no knowledge base on it, so you have to take the test.

The best is to install a box.

It is best to drain after E85, as the fuel may dilute and decollate accumulated dirt in the fuel system.

Here is the list of sellers and installers
The prices are all around 600 Euros.

Ask for installation, some may even come to your home for installation at 60 Euros
Price depending on installer and your location.

They are professionals registered in the commercial register.
The operation is legal, and does not require a new homologation of the vehicle.

The 4 cylinder kit Excluding installation

http://www.borel.fr
FullFlex Automatic Kit (580 Euros)
http://www.echomeca.com
FullFuel Automatic Kit (565 Euros)
http://flex-e85.net
ABCesso Automatic Kit (598 Euros)
FlexTek Manual Kit (420 Euros)
http://www.fullflex.fr
FullFlex Automatic Kit (580 Euros)
http://www.seeflex.fr
FullFlex Automatic Kit (598 Euros)

The Kit ABCesso calibrates itself, and adjusts to the fair thanks to its connection to the Lambda probe, runs from 0 to 100% ethanol

The Kit Fullflex must be calibrated, then it adapts to the mixture of 0 100 ethanol%

The Kit FlexTek is manual we select <50 or> 50% Ethanol, it is your electronic injection which makes the intermediate settings.
It is less precise, and consume more than an automatic kit.
