Petrol Conversion Kit to E85

by mafieud41 » 01/10/06, 12:54

Hello,
everyone is talking about bio ethanol (e85, flex fuel), which is a good thing, less pollution, lower price ..... I saw some time ago in capital or prohibited area (in Brazil ) that for 200 dollars you could modify your current car to accept the e85. but here I can no longer find this article and it interests me a lot. After unsuccessful research, I wonder if anyone knows here where we can get this kit for modif?
thank you in advance

There is no $ 200 kit !! Except maybe in Brazil ...

In the downloads of the site we have some videos including the special envoy on biofuels: https://www.econologie.com/le-petrole-es ... -2780.html

Feel free to use https://www.econologie.com/forums/search.php

Otherwise the subject of E85 has been widely discussed here:

A reporter from TF * called me yesterday to find out if I knew any E85 Kit "sellers" ... I obviously told him no (and that such a kit was quite complicated on a modern vehicle) ...

So this subject interests a lot of people ... so would kk1 know if such kits are available in France (or in Europe?)? :?:

Hello what are exactly the differences between a normal engine and the flexfuel except the fact that this one is able to detect the difference between the 2 fuel automatically whereas it was enough to do like the LPG "put a button" and 2 tank lol

if not is bioethanol gassed in this case less aggressive
for the gas that thought about the assembly that I have already seen on this forum which looked like a small carb with resistance ...
or a pantone mount ??

here is a good day ..

If the fuel used is constant (either petrol or E85) it is not so hard ... where it gets harder is if the% of ethanol varies ...

I never managed to find a synthesis report on the combustion of ethanol (unlike that of vegetable oils or many reports are available ...) and it is not for lack of having searched (but surely not enough : Oops: : https://www.econologie.com/forums/combustion ... t2007.html

the change is made via a TUNE box, which just changes the parameters of the calculator: yes an adapted engine can burn alcohol, works on any electronic petrol injection (so motorcycles too).
the origin of the diesel engine was oil,
the origin of the petrol engine was alcohol.

you can easily make oil, but alcohol is a bit more complicated ... and harmful to the environment (water, pesticides, transport, GHG fermentation, energy distillation, retransport etc ...) .

You can also change the injection parameters yourself, without buying this expensive box, by capturing the diagnostic socket of the vehicle and by adapting the injection data, which belong to the owner of the vehicle (thank you emule).

not only does the KIT sell
but it also sells everything you need to make your own bioethanol at home ...

a priori the system is made for Corn .... But I will inquire if it is suitable for Sugar Cane since I am in the islands ...
