A priori it is already available at EuroFlex.
Anyone know exactly how many E85 pumps already open in France?

Yes, but there are still patent, legal or something like that issues that should cause the site to be open around August 20 for orders.
The best and to ask directly to Alexandre or Vincente, their email is the only thing accessible for the moment on the site.

There are now 144 stations, but terribly poorly distributed

Fuelcat Kit - German Quality

by Moulaert » 24/07/07, 22:36

Hello,
I installed a Fuelcat kit 1 month ago

code: Select all

www.fuelcat.de
on my Daewoo and it works perfectly. I'm super happy with it. Its big difference compared to other kits is its price. 219 Euros including tax for the basic 4-cylinder kit. The kit with temperature probe which facilitates departures in very cold weather: 259 Euros.
And they have just released this week a kit for Bosch Monomotronic injections (the old Golf, Polo, Seat etc).
A company imports Fuelcat kits from now on in France: Energaz Carburation in ANTIBES

The installation of a kit comes down to replacing the computer ... so if you know how to plug-unplug an AC outlet should not be a problem :)

As for refueling, it's not automatic, I quote:

This kit is designed for petrol injection vehicles that do not have a Lambda sensor. After selecting the fuel, you can run either SP95 / 98, ethanol, or a mixed percentage of half E85 / half petrol. It is equipped with a temperature sensor which facilitates cold departures.

In short for me the kit is nice DIY for the moment ... besides the real flex vehicle have much deeper modifications (valves, segment ...) impossible to do with a vehicle kite.

So my advice: ride on E85 but at 40-50% and without kit!

You must not have all the info because they also make automatic kits for vehicles with Lambda probe that I have also mount on my 206
Now when it comes to driving with 40%, I was quickly fed up with zigzagging between the pumps and spending 15 minutes in the station ....

Yes but the automatic kit (already it is 100 to 200 € more expensive) will never compensate for the design of the engine which was not made for the E85 unlike the flex engine. The e85 kits are like the 100% vegetable oil kits: 0 guarantees over the life of the engine ...

And I'm not sure that screwing up an engine after 20km is ecologically profitable ... now "you can't make an omelet without breaking some eggs" ...
