The introductory page reads "Ethanol is an environmentally friendly biofuel that does not affect the ozone layer." : Shock:

For me, not even worth going further : Cheesy:

Toutafé ... well it is also the image of the HUMMER "E85" which is also pitiful : Mrgreen:

If not for your remark concerning ozone, small downside: nitrogen oxides are greenhouse gases which can under certain conditions ... create ozone (but at low altitude therefore not "good" ozone it is however the same ozone, O3, as at high altitude)

Fully agree,

Indeed, the principle of communicating vessels does not work between the different layers of the atmosphere (single image).

There is thus an accumulation of ozone (dangerous for humans) in the suburbs and forests of large cities, in the lower layers of the atmosphere.
And a lack in the upper layers of the stratosphere.

Dawoo Lanos equipped with Flex Fuel

by Moulaert » 21/06/07, 13:29

That's it, I took the plunge: I equipped my Daewoo with a Flex-Fuel kit. This is a German kit www.fuelcat.de.
Kit super simple to assemble ... The hardest part is to pass the cable into the room for the SP96 / E85 switch on the dashboard. The electronic unit is completely waterproof (components cast in resin, and injector connectors (type Bosch EV1) waterproof.
I just refueled at E1. The car turns perfectly. I even feel like it's more flexible, but it's probably subjective.
I have not yet made any measurement of consumption (this is my 1st full), but I will keep you informed.

I have been at E40 since January, so almost 6 months that I roll at ~ 50% E85, I just changed my belt distrib, the opportunity to tell my garage to check hoses, candles and usual items.
Verdict: no particular wear.

Do you drive with a normal petrol car or with a flex fuel kit?

No Kit yet
To drive at 50% there is no need.
I made no changes.

The fall in prices is coming

Around August 20, SeeFlex will offer automatic boxes at € 490.

This Kit will be fitted with a connection to the Lambda probe like the ABCesso Model. The Kit adapts itself to the mixture without calibration.
So normally a level above the FullFlex model

Will competition be aligned?

Small additional info.
Euroflex and Seeflex will sell the same Kit at the same price.
They are in partnership.
So choose according to affinity and region.
