Clio DCi + Vegetable oil

by antho86 » 07/04/14, 17:46

Hello everyone;
I have trouble understanding some things.
I take my example, I have a Clio 3 phase 2 equipped with 1.5 DCi 86l 2009cv.

1) Can I put vegetable oil in a DCi?
2) I am in direct injection (since it is a DCi if I do not say nonsense), I need a special modification on my engine to be able to roll 30% of used oil?
Does a recent car tolerate me used oil?
How much does it take to filter used oil?

Thank you in advance to all.

1) Depending on the technology of the engine, the injection pump, its strength etc ... we can put a certain percentage (from 0 to 100%). For that will inform you about "Oliomobile", they keep up to date a summary table very well done, according to your engine etc ... which summarizes you the essential or optional modifications and the prohibitions.

2) Beware used oil of plant or animal origin as you want, but for the engine oil is reserved for the big guys who do not care to fool the environment and the people who live there .... This is an ecolo website : Mrgreen:

3) The filtering is 5 μm (order of magnitude). The more the injection pump works at high pressure, the more it is fragile and requires clean fuel.

Ok thanks for your advice.
I'm going to look at the site you just advised me.
And yes, I was talking about vegetable oil.
Goods.
