The Potager du Sloth: the book
Re: Le Potager du Sloth: the book
The book continues its merry way: 200 copies ordered from the publisher Monday and Tuesday, 50 this morning ... After the big cavalry (Fnac, Amazon), they are now small booksellers who are manifesting themselves ...

I do not understand Alsatian but with some basic German we understand a little. I love the accent! Bravo Didier the polyglot!

Yes. Almost every village has its Alsatian.
The journalist is from Haut-Rhin. Me, I am a "pägser" of Alsace-Bossue, who speaks an Alsatian patois close to Lorraine! Between "pägser" from Alsace Bossue and guys from Sundgau, we try to talk about "hochdeutsch" to understand each other!

Big difference between Alsatian and German: for "new" words, the French word is germanized. An umbrella is a "barabli" (whereas it is Regenschirm in German). The TV becomes "delé" (instead of Fernseher). And so springtails become "Kollembolls" (instead of a German term that I don't know!).

Ah, it's not true !!! You watched that ????
Well. Objective 2018: present the PP in German. When I have a little time, I get used to technical jargon by flipping through German sites (mycorrhiza, rhizosphere, etc.) to become fluid at a high technical level.
Don't forget that French is my first foreign language, learned from the age of 5. I used to only speak Alsatian. Unfortunately, I have lost a lot by staying in "Francophonie" and speaking only French at work and at home (Burgundian wife).
