- the first is the "terrestrial ivy", of which one speaks elsewhere; candidate, at home, for cultures "under living cover"
- the second ???? "Rumex" type, with a powerful root, which is not easily torn off; one of the rare occasions to use the fork-to-spade; but is not very invsive
- the third, yarrow, extremely "invasive" from the side: it "crawls" under the hay ... When one is infested, it is necessary to regularly "cut" the edge of the flower beds with a spade and tear off this who settled on the plot
Thank you Didier always on top to help in spite of surely all your requests! it is absolutely necessary that I find enough friends gardeners to make you come in Dordogne in good conditions.

I love your greenhouse and your interior! Good work !
And your plants are already well advanced compared to mine ... But good Dordogne / Normandy ... We do not have the same ... heat!

Twandering with clayey and fertile wheat, full of water in winter, cold in spring, crushed and cracked in summer,
but that was before the Didite ...

I had a wonderful and interesting holiday in the Dordogne 1 year and a half ago ... Gardens of Marqueyssac and Erignac and one or two others ... And of course, Lascaux. Lascaux 4 was still under construction ... I told myself that I will return ...
I think that one day, there will be a conjuncture between all these desires!
The day before yesterday I met a journalist who might be able to give me an "opening" on a national media ... And then, my notoriety should jump!

Re: The "Potager du Laesseux" in the Dordogne
good yesterday morning 7h it was -1, the greenhouse was covered with a frost white, but I unrolled protective films especially on the beans sow in bucket, in short no major damage, I think that this jelly has duration 1h to 2 h and as soon as the sun is up the temperature is rising quickly!
I wonder how many hours of freezing at 0 ° a - 2 ° for irreparable damage?
In short I was hot finally cold !!!
But the Ice Saints have not gone

I have no response.
But I think that differences in resistance between species, then within the same species between certain varieties are more important than duration.
Finally, the "brutality" with which the cold occurs greatly influences the result: a frost that arrives slowly, gradually will do less damage than the same negative temperature that strikes like a thunderbolt without warning. The plants "harden" (they concentrate the juices).
Last year, the - 7,5 ° C (memory) had shot the tomatoes but not the cabbage ... No effect on the onions ... Etc ...
The green bean is one of the most sensitive plants: I saw, in the fall, "adult" plants being shot by a first hoar frost in mid- or late September ....
[Had a nice signing session yesterday in Haguenau, in a bookstore tucked away in a dead end: we took out the chairs and we occupied the street, for a heated discussion that started at 14:45 p.m. and ended around 19 p.m. h !!! I did not count, but we were 20 or 25 like that ... On this occasion, I discovered a little book - like what, it is useful, the "tables" in a bookstore! - which I recommend to you: "Auxiliaries in the garden" by Vincent Albouy at Ulmer € 7,90 - 65 pages; this will allow you to recognize the auxiliaries; beautiful pictures ; generally Vincent Albouy, I recommend; I also have his "Garden with insects" published by Terran - more than 350 pages; NB he's an entomologist = someone who studies insects]

Thank you Didier for your information always relevant, I think this little book will land in my library, it seems to me to have seen in a garden.
