I was going to conclude that the autumn garlic does not like to be covered and the humidity that it generates ... I therefore conclude that I will try again !!! Must be flexible in a Lazy Vegetable Garden!

Normal that there are no bulbs: the plant has eaten the energy of the cloves; she settled down; it first develops its roots and then now its "solar collectors"; it will only be able to "charge its batteries" (form bulbs) afterwards ... We cannot ask a photovoltaic installation to produce while the panels are still in the boxes!

I noted in my notebook: garlic planted on November 2 and 3.

Variety, I do not remember, except that I had the choice between pink, purple and white garlic, I chose white garlic.

Clay soil, yes for sure. Clay-limestone soil, but it seems that garlic likes?

I had not yet put hay in the garden when planting, so the soil was more or less bare at this location, where I had just harvested carrots.

After transplanting, I sprinkled with clippings of dried grass, that's all.
And I later thickened that layer again, still with shearing. The photo is taken close enough, so it's misleading, you might think it's hay, but no, it's mowing (hay, there is elsewhere).

The outer leaves tend to be a little yellowish, and the tips of the leaves a little dry, maybe the dryness?

In the same 44, the leaves turn yellow at the tip, the bulbs begin to form.

We put some garlic at once and we planted part of the leeks, the ice saints have passed, but there is a risk of thunderstorm with hail ... So we will wait a little longer ..

I dare not tear off one, the neighbor has had his Aulx rotten by too much humidity, I fear the same fate
so I'm waiting for the last moment. I have read that you must tie the stems when they turn yellow to promote the concentration of sap in the heads of the garlic.
Is it the same for onions and shallots?
