More recent news, with a little too much life in the carrots.

and finally fresh news.
Leeks cut to ground level on December 18, somewhat colonized, grew back in principle without a host.

The well hidden rhubarbs, and the artichokes transplanted in the fall are growing with these last few weeks too sweet ... I fear the return of frost.

And to finish following the post from phil53 the mini-bulbils harvested from the heads of garlic this summer, I will soon plant them in planters.

Small addition, the mache which remains beautiful despite the harvests at each pass, another 2 large salad bowls this time.

Hi,

It's the return to the vegetable patch thanks to the holidays. Tufts of garlic sprouted from the old line, which later received the carrots. Two oversights and the regrowth of heads abandoned on the spot. I think of bulbs rather than seeds. Transplanted to the planter in just deposited hay, on almost a line, supplemented with some chervil also recovered.
Despite the night frost, bright sunshine and dry weather, I sowed the beans and spinach. I just hope they start when the weather is right for them. I also sprinkled the bean line with parsley.
All this allowed me to realize that hay recovery is not enough. Boots remained soaked a few kms, I will try to find the owner.
Next sowing, peas.
Olivier.

Hello,

Finally a little time to post some photos and news of this growing vegetable garden. May be an effect of the book, the flooded boots, about twenty, will be used by their owner, with the very bad harvest in the corner of last year I will not have hay before the harvest and only half of the garden is covered, and still not enough.
Arriving, transplanting oak leaf salad and sweet treats, taken from semi natural in my parents' vegetable garden, between the strawberries of the house vegetable garden.
On February 19, recovery and transplanting of garlic shoots and regrowth.

A line of beans and parsley together, in order to let the parsley rise quietly in the shade of the beans, and develop after harvest.
A line of spinach which I hope will grow when the temperature suits it, on undisturbed soil I count on little competition from weeds.
all placed on the ground after clearing with the fork and by hand of the remains of OM, with a few uprooting of perennial weeds and covered with a little soil with a shovel, one small wheelbarrow per line. In order to limit the risks I return to a little spreading of feramol.
From the next day, frost every night more and more until -13 on the 27th, followed by snow on the first of March.

After the passage of the cold which allowed me to make a lot of wood, quick recovery in the vegetable patch, with the planting of the shallots and spring onions in 3 tight rows. hay placed at the fork just before, placed in the dibber, there is not really contact earth / root but last year has shown that there is no consequence on rooting.

Also semi from a line of peas, the autumn semi having been appreciated by slugs.

And in extremis before leaving, installation and filling by transfer to the pump of a new tank just above the vegetable garden, the tank having remained full, I just removed 10 cm so that the top of the water arrives before the flare, and monitored, the frost had little impact on the volume of water in the sun during the day. Compared to last year, I have 900l in advance and a tank ready to fill with spring. The vegetable garden being a little bigger and I hope better filled, I will be a little more serene, in any case I am no longer afraid of the summer.

How do you feed this tank?

Adept of laziness and sensitive to the quality of what my family consumes, I wish to make a vegetable garden of the lazy!
