The effect of a headliner is dazzling but not ... lasting. Image

Well, about number 5 .... this is a question that we haven't discussed much ...

Is there an observational, if not scientific, reality behind the “associations”?

There is a solid "base":

- gas communication of plants
- attractive / repellent effects of certain plants (via gas in the air or rhizodeposition in the soil) vis-à-vis such or such insect or other; sometimes, this one maybe an auxiliary for a plant of another family
- biodiversity / sharing of complementary ecological niches ...

The "allelopathic" effects (negative effects of one plant on another) are scientifically supported!

All this may suggest that associations can be beneficial, if we combine the right things ... or negative otherwise.

But I think these are "rank 2 or 3" mechanics. The fundamental thing is light (which plays in associations), it is water (which also plays a role), it is the mycorrhizae, it is chemical fertility, it is the nutrition of the organisms that build / aggravate the ground ...

The proof: various authors do not "see" the same thing. The "recommendations" are far from always the same. This means what it means: there is d'autres things that influence enjoyeds (and which therefore "mask" the effects of associations).

This is no reason not to try - without exaggerated naivety! We put a lot of spices in our dishes, even if it does not feed much!

And I must admit that I am neither exemplary nor very assiduous in the matter!

Ok ac .... thank you, it is quite often mentioned in the pros files, that's why I asked myself the question ...

We also see a lot of avoiding placing side by side cabbage of different varieties ... : Shock: : Shock: : Shock:
