To discredit the theses there is no better ...

+1 :? :frown:

Your poster reminds me of "associations" which organize "conferences", festivals ... which aim to recruit followers.
New Acropolis is one, it serves as a showcase for a sect well known... : Shock:

You are right to be careful but I rather agree with the following comment

The name is provocative and must be taken in the second degree since the films presented are, as you can see in the program below, very serious. Of course, September 11 features prominently with the broadcasts of ....

Even if we can seriously doubt the objectives of the organization of the festival, we must admit that the risk of censorship is not zero, especially when we know a little about the content of the documentaries and what they denounce. Afterwards, everyone is free to adhere to these denunciations or not. I do not really see what a sect would have as an interest in this kind of demonstration with explosive subjects.
Case to follow.

Interest in bringing together people who are receptive and convinced of being a group of elected officials with access to knowledge hidden from others.

In addition, Switzerland is known for its "discretion" vis-à-vis this kind of group.

People who come to this kind of event are curious and open-minded to hear unexpected things. However, not all of them have a sufficiently developed or alert critical mind. Others are people in lack of faith, looking for an ideal ...
It is these latter which are the ideal prey of the sects which bait them thus. All the more so as their approach technique consists of flattening their future followers by telling them "you are one of the lucid, awake humans ... who have become aware of ... Come and join us ..."

Well i see that Christine answered before and better than me. :?

Go ahead José !
You're the best !
And thank you.

The president of the European Food Safety Authority belongs to an industrial lobby

The president of the board of directors of the European Food Safety Authority (EASA) is also a member of the board of an association of the largest companies in the agro-industry. This is the revelation made by José Bové, MEP (Europe Ecology), during a press conference in Brussels, Wednesday September 29.
The documents presented show that Diana Banati, the president of the EASA board of directors, concealed that she also belonged to the board of directors of ILSI Europe (International Life Science Institute), a body in which she rubs shoulders with representatives of ten large companies such as Kraft Foods, Nestlé or Danone.
The Agency plays the role of scientific expertise for decisions by the European Commission in the area of food products, in particular GMOs (genetically modified organisms). The Authority has never issued a negative opinion on more than 100 GMOs examined.
REQUEST FOR RESIGNATION
For its part, ILSI is an international organization bringing together more than 400 companies, including Monsanto, Syngenta, Dupont, Nestlé and Kraft Foods. In the 1980s and 1990s, it relayed the efforts of tobacco manufacturers to weaken the World Health Organization (WHO) initiatives on tobacco. Following several surveys, the WHO also excluded ILSI in January 2006 from the list of organizations that can participate in its activities.
Mr. Bové requests the resignation of Ms. Banati. "EASA has no autonomy, it is subservient to the lobbies, judges the deputy, who is also vice-president of the agriculture committee of the European Parliament. Its mode of operation must be reviewed from top to bottom."
On September 28, Ms. Banati had her statement of interest changed, as it can be found on the EASA website: she suddenly revealed that she belonged to the office of the directors of ILSI .

Mind-blowing info ... Monsanto Protection Act...

http://www.infowars.com/senate-passes-m ... er-us-govt

In the typical slippery nature of Monsanto's legislation-based actions, the biotech giant is now virtually guaranteed the ability to recklessly plant experimental GM crops without having to worry about the United States government and its subsequent courts. The Monsanto Protection Act buried deep within the budget resolution has passed the Senate, and now nothing short of a presidential veto will put an end to the ruling.

http://naturalsociety.com/new-monsanto- ... overnment/

There truly is no rest for the wicked, and Monsanto is at war once again against health conscious consumers with the latest 'Monsanto Protection Act', managing to sneak wording into the latest Senate legislation that would give them blanket immunity from any USDA action regarding the potential dangers of their genetically modified creations while under review. The USDA would be unable to act against any and all new GMO crops that were suspected to be wreaking havoc on either human health or the environment.

USA: Senate passes Monsanto protection law granting it immunity from justice

In the treacherous style of Monsanto's legal actions, the biotechnology giant is now virtually guaranteed to be able to safely plant its GM crops without having to worry about the United States government and its courts. The Monsanto Protection Act, deeply buried in the budget resolution, has passed the Senate and now there is only one presidential veto to prevent it from being implemented.

I just saw this report yesterday afternoon on Arte.
I had heard a lot about it and was sure I had seen it before, but no.
It is a bit dated, but the nuisance, misery and racketeering are very topical.

"the principle of equivalence" which makes it possible not to label GMOs :!:

But it's a scandal, a shame, a trickery, a plot, and so on ...

Then we are surprised that there are voluntary reapers.
I would be happy and proud of it.

Super-resistant butterfly worries GMO producers

The Monde.fr | 06.09.2013

A new mode of resistance to genetically modified organisms (GMOs) was highlighted by a Franco-South African study, published Wednesday September 4 by the journal PLOS One (Public Library of Science Open Access Journal). This discovery could lead to revise the strategies currently applied by farmers to combat the emergence of resistance.
Researchers from the Development Research Institute (IRD) and their South African colleagues looked at Busseola fusca, a moth that took only a few years to develop resistance to cultivated Bt maize since 1998 in southern Africa. This type of transgenic plant secretes its own insecticidal toxins Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt), which are believed to control pests.

A certain number of cases of resistance appeared in these insects have already been listed. However, their development was relatively slow due to the recessive nature of resistance, which was only transmitted to an individual if both of their parents were themselves resistant. However, in the South African moth, laboratory experiments have highlighted the dominant nature of resistance. It only takes one parent to have it passed on to the next generation. Resistance therefore spreads much faster, and to respond to it, the farmers concerned must turn to the same insecticides that transgenic corn was supposed to prevent them from using.

Faced with this type of resistance, the strategy of maintaining "refuge zones" planted with conventional varieties near the GMO fields, in order to promote the maintenance of a population of non-resistant insects, risks quickly turning out to be insufficient. . "This study is important because it explains why this pest quickly developed resistance to Bt corn and suggests that a very high abundance of refugia will be needed to slow the evolution of resistance," says the entomologist Yves Carrière (University of Arizona).

MULTITHERAPY

The study authors believe, however, that the proportion of refuge areas needed to combat this type of resistance could become so large that it would make this strategy obsolete. They suggest other avenues such as the use of pathogenic fungi or parasites in order to keep the pest population under control.

To reach their conclusions, the team led by Pascal Campagne, a specialist in population genetics, crossed resistant butterflies with butterflies sensitive to the insecticidal toxin and found a high survival rate. The figures however do not fully convince Denis Bourguet, of the National Institute of Agronomic Research (INRA), who wonders about the results that would result from an experiment conducted in the field.

If the dominant character of the resistance gene was confirmed, this population geneticist would favor a response that he compared to HAART: the development of GMO varieties combining several insecticidal toxins. "The advantage of this solution is that the probability that an individual resistant to one toxin is also resistant to another is low," he says, estimating that several decades would then be necessary before a significant population of pests resistant to all toxins. An avenue that transgenic seed companies have already started to explore.
