Basically, what would be interesting is to explain to us how the poor feed themselves, in order to be able to adapt our budgets.
For modest incomes, in Belgium, the unavoidable part of net income (= all taxes deducted) devoted to "living" (loan-rent, energy, water, telecoms) has fallen in 20 years from 1/3 to half. so that the real disposable income has fallen by a quarter.
(12/12 - 4/12) = 8/12
(12/12 - 6/12) = 6/12,
6/12 is 3/4 of 8/12.
Meanwhile, the price of second-hand buildings has tripled or even quintupled in some places, while wages only increased by 85%
Fortunately, the "hard discounter" appeared and the relocation of the textile and electronics industry still allows us to live. But that doesn't do the job of the job.
Some savings are easy, such as drinking tap water, but there is a limit. the price of vegetables, even when switching suppliers, remains high.
