Work in vegetable gardens, beaker and turn the earth
Under the pots of purple asparagus, I quote: "protections because the nights are cold".
The pdt (charlottes, if good memory) point to a neighbor.
Sowing or planting (I never know) 3 or 4 weeks ago.
A Kitchen Garden Sloth in the Hérault (St-Chinian)

It's the rougette from Montpellier ???
Mine (Grenoble red) is ... under the snow. Finally, I swept the snow on the window of the chassis!

They are tubers (even if we say "pot seeds") so botanically, it is more correct to speak of planting.

Re: A Kitchen Garden Sloth in the Hérault (St-Chinian)
For us no water worries.
A béal (canal) allows irrigation throughout the year. The following photo shows the canal going down to join the Vernazobre along our 2nd vegetable garden after having skirted it from the north (under the low wall).

Hatches allow the opening towards channels in order to irrigate.
Others prefer to use a cofferdam (slipped between slits cut in the concrete) and pipes.

Two ways to plant pdt.
Left in a neighbor's vegetable patch: he prepared the ground and then made a hole in the ground to bury the seed.
Right in my vegetable garden: I opened the blanket then put the seed on the ground before closing.
The green leaves are leaves of cauliflower.

Forgotten photos.
Wind gusts of more than 110km / h uprooted a tree near the children's playground.
