Ok Hedgehog, but you have to see that my maker, I made it like that because I had the elements to assemble it. This is UNE simple solution, not la solution!
If I had to start from scratch, I think I would have rather imagined a purely mechanical system (counterweight style that we go up every morning and which takes 8-10 hours to descend by providing the energy necessary for agitation ).
Nothing too complicated either, and very economical, it seems to me!
Spirulina aquaculture at home, it's not complicated!

Yes that seems sufficient to me.
Does the night not touch anymore?

No, indeed, it does not touch at night, or for that matter when the lighting is insufficient: it is a direct PV-motor link.
At first, I used a small 4 Ah battery as a buffer, but in use, it does nothing more.
8-10 hours of agitation per day is more than enough for my growing conditions.

Grow your spirulina
Handicraft culture manual for spirulina production
By Jean-Paul JOURDAN
(PDF)
JP Jourdan shares here his practical experience of more than twelve years of spirulina production and also shows how to apply the methods of chemical engineering to improve this production even on a small scale and without sophisticated technical means. It gives a host of details allowing to build the cultivation facility and to conduct its market in very varied circumstances, but also to evaluate and optimize the cost price of this micro-algae so much in demand today for its nutritional properties. or others.
A graduate of MIT, JP Jourdan made his career in the chemical industry before dedicating his retirement in the south of France to the development of spirulina for children in the Third World. After having been a "student of spirulina" with Ripley D. Fox and Francisco Ayala, he is a member of Technap and he has actively collaborated with Antenna Technologies and several other NGOs in the field of spirulina.

ditto that chopping block, I search everywhere on the net to find mother algae but impossible !!
and having micro income I can hardly afford to buy my spirulina in organic stores which is a shame because I have big bp of health and I felt better with spirulina!
in short if you have a plan to buy it I am interested !!

Hello,
Going to see directly at a producer seems to me the easiest solution to have a living strain. French spirulinaers have gathered in a federation, easy to find on the net.
