overheated

Hi tigger.
I go back this superb subject for a small question which I can not find the answer. Have you had problems overheating your tank or your solar water heater in summer?
Given your high solar power and small tank of 1000L (compared to that of Christophe) do you need to discharge the heat from time to time to avoid rising too high in the sensors?

Hi lemotval
Actually I would have liked to know, but maybe the problem does not arise in his case. For example if it has a loop of hot water no worries.
I asked because I have the problem on my installation and I put a sunscreen on the sensors when it is too good to fix it.
By optimizing my system to be as efficient as possible I ended up falling into excess.
Sometimes just a discharge of the heat of the balloon at night in the solar collectors is sufficient.

hello to all, and sorry for the small delay,

So to answer, I changed my tank of plastic 1000litres by two tanks of 800litres with 1 exchanger in each.
reason: the plastic tub did not allow me to have the system under pressure and require to have a second coil to recover calories.

With two tanks of 800litres in series, I have the tanks under floor heating, more autonomy from 2x800litres, and with the two coils best recovery of the solar part.

and I did not have a problem of overheating as well with the 1000 as the two of 800, my solar system being regulated in very low temperature and with plan sensors, they saturate quickly above 80 degrees.

Hi Tigger,

Do you have pictures of this new version?

You sent me an email some time ago with the evolutions of your installation, I can not find it anymore ... mea culpa: can you send it back or post this info directly here (it's always better when it's the direct author who writes)?

Hi tigger
Congratulations it's a great installation. I really like.
You realized what I have in mind since 2008.
The plan sensors saturate towards 80 ° C ... so no overheating, it's good to know that.
Can you tell me where you found a floor heating system as fine?
For the renovation is the top, we must predict how thick?
Do you just need a patch over, or more?

hello, no pictures of new 800l tanks that I had at a very good price, two for the price of one.
Here are some pictures of the evolution of my heat recovery coil heating coil on the stove to raise the tank temperature.
evolution made three years ago, 10metres of 12 / 16inox hose around the 150 fume outlet tube, cover with a tube of 180 cut in half, in addition to the copper tube that I had already put in the dubbing of the stove.

hello and in the series of DIY at home, here is a small installation of heating of my bathroom, and since photos are better than a long speech (finished in January 2013).

See you soon for other things.

and to answer pitmix, the pipes are 6 / 8mm plus support, walnut in the reagreage, plus glue and tile, plus or minus 2cms.
I had found the material at HOWATECH, if my memory is good, in Germany directly ordered at the factory to have good prices and tablecloths of 8metre long double pipes against lux.
I had made the main room at home, 50metres square heating floor in very low temperature, I send 25degrés.

(Oops I just saw that christian had already put the pictures of the evolution of the stove.)

A ++
