Hello,
My plane the gas boiler heats the 300 l, the two go together with the regulation in the boiler.
She makes the extra if necessary, with an appropriate adjustment.
I have already.
Since the buffer, so also with wood heat, the zone valve can choose to heat the top of the 500. or 300 l.
Besides for the buffer I have the same "concern", ie I have another old 300 l. (Cipag from 1993) currently working for ECS, which I would like to reuse as a buffer. So I will also have 2 buffers, to see how to connect them ...
A +, good day!

Hello Philippe,
The price difference for 2ème exchanger is 70 euro, it would be a shame to miss, even if I do not use it ...
hypotheses:
1- in summer, if the 400 are drawn at night, the water will still hot 300, 500 the upper cools and can be heated during the night from the ball.
2- in winter, after a week of fog or 30 cm. snow on the roof, the 500 will not be warm.
The pellet boiler is lit, only the 300 be used, enough with boiler on.
A+

Hello ,
I tried the software Simsol with 30m2 panels and parameters approaching my project.
One variable will be the hot water consumption of the inhabitants, which I have not measured and which is variable ...
I put the 800.
Regarding the signs, did place several panels horizontally in series one above the other, is a good solution?
Compared to all panels placed vertically in parallel?

For solar thermal, it is useless to have a big production in summer (when not using the heater), so we tend to maximize winter production (when the sun is low on the horizon) placing very inclined panels (around 60 or 70 ° to the horizontal), which is probably more production in April than in June / July when the sun is high.Philippe Schutt wrote:I'm surprised that solar output in July was lower than that of April?

I am also surprised, angle sensors is 33 ° from the horizon, orientation to 330 ° (S-SE).
I used the least 2 weather stations away from Geneva.
On the chart, it's hotter in summer?
Edit:
In April the software account 840 the DHW / day, against 400 l / day in July.
So I think solar energy produced is limited by consumption.

Hello
Continuation of the same report, I used the value "solar irradiation on the horizontal plane" to simulate the potential.
Logically with an angle of 33 ° I should pick up more?
I ignored this for now.
The difference from the report of the figures is explained perhaps by the fact that use of the DHW night?
Or the value of the exchange does not match the instantaneous power? I have not yet figured out how to calculate the power of the exchangers?
At least it seems that in March-April-May and September-October we can have a booster heater.
For summer, the excess is important, I did not throw the idea to use only half of the panels.
"Or produce electricity during the summer? What would be the output of a Stirling type generator?"
