A new study by biologists from the University of Birmingham (UK), including George Bassel, shows that the seeds would be able to "decide" when to germinate. It revives the debate on the intelligence of plants.

François Tardieu, research director at INRA (National Institute for Agricultural Research), is more moderate. "According to him, the flora is well endowed with multiple faculties which one thought reserved for the animal world:" Plants are full of sensors, groups of cells, which perceive something and which then induce a reaction, it is the very definition of acclimatization ", explains the scientist." but "a plant cannot have intelligence and even less a brain!".

Something to think about for the vegetarian, whose refusal to eat meat and the acceptance of vegetable eating can be seen as a form of racism towards certain forms of living things.

No speciesism in it,just the choice of the lesser evil... because, as a reminder .... if you don't eat animal or vegetable products it's death .... unless you're a follower of the unprecedented? : Lol:

Another reasoning with nuts! Eating meat (and I'm not talking here about VG of all kinds) is physiology and anatomy, not sentimentality, or indifference to the fate of others. Herbivores like carnivores, in nature, do not engage in endless debates on the good or ill-founded of their food mechanisms, they simply submit to it. Humans, although also biologically an animal, have deviated from these dietary mechanisms for various cultural reasons, but this has in no way changed their fundamental biological mechanisms.
After everyone does what they want with it, even if it has consequences on their own life, then those of the generations that follow. We pretend to be free, we must therefore assume it to the end! 8)

an air pumper who talks about the wind! : roll:
The rantings in question are a fact established since Cuvier and largely confirmed since by the anatomical-biological scientists, who classified the food families of which the carnivores, the herbivores, the omnivores (and the human being has none of the characteristics) , other granivores or fructivores, etc ... but your mania to take all that is not you, for imbeciles, ridicules you and you do not even realize it.

The doctor in question was prosecuted, as were the boy's parents, for manslaughter. According to the Italian regional daily Quotidiano.net, Doctor Mecozzi was also not clear with the Order of Doctors of Perugia. He had always refused to send his diplomas, despite the institution's complaints. He is also allegedly involved in a cult case according to the Corriere della Sera.

CANCER: BE ONLY WITH "ALTERNATIVE" THERAPIES KILLS

CANCER: BE ONLY WITH "ALTERNATIVE" THERAPIES KILLS
https://www.science-et-vie.com/article/ ... s-tue-9338

"Homeopathy, phytotherapy, sophrology, acupuncture ... these therapies, often qualified as alternatives, or complementary, are on the rise. But they can be dangerous, if they keep the patient away from conventional treatments, remind researchers of Yale University (United States).

By analyzing the medical data of 840 cancer patients, they were able to calculate the increased risk of death for the 280 of them who had refused conventional treatment (chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery, etc.) in favor of therapies. alternatives. The result: the risk of death was multiplied by five in the event of breast cancer, by four in the event of colon cancer and by two in the event of lung cancer. "

I had missed this one after my involuntary interruption of the internet.
"Homeopathy, phytotherapy, sophrology, acupuncture ... these therapies, often described as alternatives, or complementary, are on the rise. But they can be dangerous if they distance the patient from conventional treatments, say researchers at Yale University (United States).
This article is not completely wrong! Unfortunately, this attraction to these alternative medicines can do more harm than good to these pathways. Indeed, based on experience, patients turn to other means when they have shown their ineffectiveness and often, too often, at an advanced stage of the disease. So the lack, here, is that of more details, of information on the history of these patients.
Another aspect, and always the result of observation: many people hope that if the therapeutic magic of one system has not worked, another will work better by passive application of any new therapy, even when these diseases are only effects generated by particular causes and seek to remove effects (by all therapies combined) without dwelling on the causes and therefore changing them, this leads to an almost assured failure as shown by the many failures of school medicine, particularly in cases of cancer (1 failure out of 2) and therefore this study.
By analyzing the medical data of 840 cancer patients, they were able to calculate the increased risk of death for the 280 of them who had refused conventional treatment (chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery, etc.) in favor of therapies. alternatives.
I completely ignore how the Americans manage to make this kind of calculation? In France, there are 2 categories (minimum) completely opposite and which I have just mentioned. The first relates to the way in which the disease management system is designed and which consists in expecting the doctor to give a particular medicine and the patient does the same for other therapies: no other personal implication as in allopathy.
The other model is opposed to it! Awareness of system faults leads first and foremost, to try to modify the possible and probable causes of the development of this pathology: Lifestyle, living environment, psychological dimension of the "patient", etc.
However often this approach remains intimate, personal, therefore not communicated to the usual health professionals who do not care elsewhere! So how would these researchers, in France, communicate what would not have been?
The result: the risk of death was multiplied by five in the event of breast cancer, by four in the event of colon cancer and by two in the event of lung cancer. "
Same thing: five times compared to who or what? I recall and this has been verified elsewhere, this reflection of a leader in VG: I have never seen cancer, for decades, in those who apply VG IN OUR WAY! »Statistically, there are 400.000 cancers found each year in France which will be treated, treated in the classic way (which does not mean cured) and half will die! Now it is said that in France, 2% of the population would be VG (it is in my opinion very, very, exaggerated) which would give more than a million individuals of all ages and sexes combined, that is- to say that more than 500.000 should be affected and die from cancer and yet these cases are much rarer than elsewhere (AADDC study) and nonexistent, or extremely rare, depending on the means chosen and practiced; just as there is no case of autism in certain communities in America and that it explodes elsewhere while denying its origin more than probable.

I compared two figures which do not have the same bases. So i rectify
Now it is said that in France, 2% of the population would be VG (it is in my opinion very, very, exaggerated) which would give more than a million individuals of all ages and sexes combined, that is- to say that more than 500.000 should be affected and die from cancer
with 1,3 million VG, it is 0.6% which should be, ANNUALLY, struck by cancers, that is to say 7800 cases and therefore a mortality of 1/2 or 3.900 cases. It is this, ANNUALLY, which must be taken into consideration in terms of mortality; unverifiable figure due to lack of specific investigation.

Hello everybody

Difficult to reconcile two camps that everything opposes. between the followers of the vegetarian, the homeopathy and the pseudosciences on one side, and the proponents of the science of the other, the throwing of pebbles are not far.

It reminds me of exciting debates on astrology, geobiology, acupuncture, the water motor and stuff like that. The proponents of these, say, beliefs are driven by faith, not reason, and one will never convince a believer using scientific arguments. just like creationists in the USA, they will bias scientific elements to try to support their beliefs.

Pseudo-sicences abound in the ecolosphere. Permaculture is new-age in essence. The references to paganisms (most of them fantasized) are never very far away. The goddess Gaia against the scientific object "planet earth". Choose your camp comrade !

Tonight, black pudding (not organic) / mashed potatoes (organic).

Friendship, peace and love, but it's without illusions.
