Your com is not clear.

I meant "it seems that the CIA (for once) did not participate too much", (with a big doubt).

According to Wikipédo:

The Church report also considered the allegation that the US government involved itself in the 1973 coup:

Was the United States DIRECTLY involved, covertly, in the 1973 coup in Chile? The Committee has found no evidence that it was. [25]

There is no hard evidence of direct US assistance to the coup, despite frequent allegations of such aid. Rather the United States - by its previous actions during Track II, its existing general posture of opposition to Allende, and the nature of its contacts with the Chilean military- probably gave the impression that it would not look with disfavor on a military coup. And US officials in the years before 1973 may not always have succeeded in walking the thin line between monitoring indigenous coup plotting and actually stimulating it. [25]

> Do you still have doubts?

Basically, they admit having funded the military and tried to prevent the election of Allende (among others) but not having participated in the coup.

Seeing how the CIA got wet in South America, it wouldn't be surprising (if you want to laugh, read this book).

But hey, that doesn't change the fact that Allende was a communist vermin, so for once the CIA does something useful : Mrgreen:

Well, I'm a communist vermin too, so what?
Communist reminder does not necessarily mean Stalinist.
Poem attributed to Niemöller2:

"When the Nazis came to seek the Communists,
I said nothing,
I was not a communist.

When they imprisoned the socialists,
I said nothing,
I was not a socialist.

When they came to find the unionists,
I said nothing,
I was not a trade unionist.

When they came to get me
nobody was left
to protest. "

Did I misspoke or didn't you read my post?

When the invective takes the place of arguments, the dialogue necessarily reaches zero and therefore does not imply an answer ...
