What do you want? I earn my living by WORKING myself :D

Hi Lie Tseu

Thomas J's quote is right

easter island is also a great example, on an island scale

will we be able to manage the planet?

it reminds me of all those games like Warcraft, red alert, cossaks and consors where players learn to manage limited resources to wage their war (with the difference that when we have "eaten" everything we restart a new game (like the nature besides) nice analogy

we are players used to several tests, there we will have only one

Yes: the restless little green guy, that's fine with me, after Mario, Luigi (my favorite), this is Remundo : Cheesy:
We have a PLUS with respect to the great civilizations of yesteryear:
fast and efficient communication
a high literacy rate

It is both a strength and a weakness: it is also the power of the means of communication which amplified the dishonest operations, then, when the spring broke, disseminated them worldwide.
By doing this we quickly access information and all the "advanced" countries are becoming aware of the subject of our resources.

Certainly, but the phenomenon does not materialize. The economy of the outrageous consumption of dirty energy (coal, oil, gas, nuke ...) and futile products (cars renewed every 5 years, flat screens ...) remains in place.
It's not lost yet, but it won't be without pain
so read Fill it up please it pretty much sums up the situation

Very good reading indeed.

Didn't you see the last one?
France 24 wrote:American justice has frozen the assets of a Texan financier Robert Allen Stanford accused by the stock market policeman of having set up a scam allowing him to sell $ 8 billion in financial products by promising exceptional returns.

According to the SEC, the company Stanford International Bank (SIB), based in the tax haven of Antigua in the Antilles, had sold for some $ 8 billion in certificates of deposit.

The latter had promised investors "unlikely and unjustified interest rates", supposedly due to its "exceptional investment strategy" which would have allowed the institution to obtain double-digit returns on investments for 15 years.

This fraud case is the largest revealed in the United States since the arrest in December of the New York financier Bernard Madoff, accused of having set up a scam reaching 50 billion dollars.

Huh only 8 billion? What is this little player? So what are we talking about?

At this rate: soon the employee of the village bank who will have lost 20 € to his customers will also be treated as a crook?

On the other hand, out of the question, to question ... the whole system!

In the same vein: we are currently seeing again on the PAF, the little scoundrel that is Jean Marie Messier (ex Master of the World) who has found nothing better to promote his book towel: "the short sale" ( = downside speculation) it's not good ...

It's pitiful ... but true ...

Kerviel and Stanford are really broken arms : Cheesy:

So think, $ 12 billion screwed up between them, ridiculous !!

Madoff, he is class, 50 billion all by himself.

As for "J6M", even after having crashed Vivendi, his books and his little Messier Partners box, he passes for the kitchen assistant. 8)
