Otherwise a question I asked myself:
I have a hob with 4 er "plates" (?): 2 gas and 2 electric.
What consumes the most or pollutes the most?
I would like to know so that I can make the most of the 2 that pollute the least :)
By reference to the answer given above, I do not agree. But you have to know what we are talking about: money or energy ???
- the gas has a very poor efficiency: a significant +/- part of the heat "passes by" the pan, bypassing it; this increases if the chosen fire is large in relation to the pan
- it also depends on the plates: induction? halogen ???
With induction, we only heat the bottom of the pan and its contents ... We manage to dose much better (simmer) ... Energetically speaking, it's optimal ...
So in kWh, I think the plates consume less ...
Even if it annoys me because ... nuclear (in France). I continue to use gas ...
