Hello!

Daytime running lights.

It wouldn't be easier to hang cars in light colors, white for example. ?
Cars painted white are much more visible than cars in dark colors. In addition, we would save fuel for air conditioning in summer, because it is less hot in a white car in the sun.

very good eco-gestures to reduce the consumption of water, in this sense I forced my dad to stop washing the car with the garden hose and use water and also offered him a Christmas Velo for Christmas so that at least he uses it when he goes near our house and he leaves the car in the garage, it worked although it was difficult to get it convince a lot.

Visibility depends above all on the contrast and the difference in color compared to the environment ... the fashion for "anthracite gray" cars has been very detrimental to visibility because they blend in too much with the environment ... the air conditioning in summer, do not believe that it is enough to have a white car to be able to do without it, even if it is true that the temperature is less strong ...

I had read statistics from insurance companies like that white, red, bright blue cars had less accidents ... We can see them better (I also think, but it is I who say it, than red and blue, it subconsciously and instantly reminds the cops and the firemen, which makes react!).

Another form of economy? (boho, money to repair) ...

Post in this topic your tips and the original means you use to limit your energy consumption at home.

This section is for everything that is not offered in the "Advice" section of KH.

Goods.

Hi Rulian

Switch consumption of what can be delayed
on the night rate (and not only the water heater ??)

manually: thanks to an indicator
that you have connected to the day / night relay output,
in parallel on the water heater

when it comes on it is the night rate
you start the maximum amount of gear to take advantage of the half \ night rate

Automatic: (good question)

a civic action to relieve EDF of excessively high consumption peaks

goodbye Hic

SixK wrote: A little tip that I had already given to consume less, replace its 19 "tube screen with a lcd screen not too greedy. It goes from about 90 Watts to 39 Watts (for my Samsung 913N). It remains to be seen how much time can last a lcd screen compared to a crt screen and how much energy was necessary to make the 2 screens, but in pure consumption, an LCD screen is more economical ...

For TV screens, must see, the value I saw for the LCD, it is 55W to 180W depending on the size of the screen.
We stay very close to TV consumption. Sometimes even we are curiously above. :(
And LCD TVs are much more expensive than tube TVs ...
SixK

Hi sixk
Today it is LCD screens -> to "LED" <-
who consume the least !!
With a better image. (TV and computer)

OLEDs even less, but still too expensive to buy,
(they will be cheaper to manufacture than LCDs)

(French channels switch to (Ful) HD in 2015
should we wait 5 years or not?)

goodbye Hic

Lower temperature means less consumption since the air conditioning works less.
In the same genre: why take a glass roof?
- It is heavier than the sheet metal roof
- It's hotter in summer!
2 reasons that consume more fuel! :frown:
