once again,
with the soapnuts you have to use a stain remover to make it work super: sodium percarbonate (or sodium perchlorate yes) it is an oxygenating agent sold with the nuts: salt what, so that it physically detaches. I will not know if the sodium bicarbonate works as well but it detaches! -)

We have found that the effectiveness of nuts depends on the quality (or rather nature) of your water ...
So in our previous accommodation it worked a lot better than where we currently live: the water is much less limestone.
This is probably why some people are largely disappointed with the soap nuts.

I don't know if anyone has ever tried this, but I'm trying it out, using soap nuts in the dishwasher.
The concern is that putting the nuts directly in the dishwasher does not work very well, because in the rinsing cycle the nuts continue to release soap and suddenly the rinsing is bad and the dishes full of traces.
So I tried earlier to transform the soapnuts into powder!
I used a kind of grinder mixer that I found in the kitchen, it was laborious (and very noisy !!!) but after a few minutes I finally got the powder with a few small pieces.
The goal is of course to put the powder in the detergent drawer, so that it is sent into the water at the right time, and the soap goes to the sewer during the drain cycle before rinsing.
I put a teaspoon of soap powder, we will see what happens, result within an hour I think !!

I have always used softening tablets. And I always put the minimum amount of (chemical) detergent. In several different homes, with soft or hard water.
In my opinion it is the first thing to do to reduce the amount of detergent used.
