The living environment map

On March 6, at the Agricultural Show, the National Federation of Organic Agriculture of the Regions of France (FNAB) gave Corinne Lepage a facsimile of the Vital Environment card that she promotes to all presidential candidates and legislative. This Vital card would make it possible to "empower, motivate and interest every citizen who wants to participate, through responsible consumption in the preservation of the planet".

With the card, the FNAB offered the candidate some organic products labeled with a bar code indicating variable environmental points depending on the products.
How could this “VITAL ENVIRONMENT CARD” work?
Consumer products that make a real difference to the environment, particularly organic products, would have “environment points”. Accumulated throughout the year on a smart card which would record each purchase, these points would give entitlement, during the income tax return, to a tax credit, we explain to the FNAB for whom "The citizen will understand a little more that having a solar water heater or a wood-fired boiler is good, but that each act of daily consumption is also important. He will rediscover the role or the impact of each mode of production and marketing. "

Are we discovering econology? : Cheesy: It is all the same con that it is always the "carrot" which prevails when talking about the environment ... When will ecologically profitable products?

But why not just zero-tax / unload the products you want to promote. It's still a thousand times simpler and more efficient, isn't it? You imagine the job to manage these points and all that behind, and people so that they realize what they will win (that they will only win by the end of the year, only if 'they already pay taxes.

Anyway, it seems more marketing (political) to me than anything else. I do not think that the concern is the organization of ecological rebates but especially to know where to take the money (and there I think a little about the carbon tax ...).
