Re: The industrial obsolescence, history of deception
Uh yes because I do not understand how it decides which amperage to send in the battery? Ah maybe he is using the BSI plug?
Can you see if the BI is connected to your chargers? (= 3 connectors on the charger and not just 2?)
Otherwise the end of charge voltage (via internal charger) of a Samsung battery is indeed 4.35V ...
By cons my Lipo charger does not like Li-Ion batteries.
It automatically reset during charging and few mAh are counted during charging ... I don't know why ... (maybe a story of different internal resistance between Lipo and Li-ion ??), so I don't know if i could use it to estimate the actual mAh sent in the battery. I'm still going to do some voltage / amperage adjustment tests ...
By cons I can have a mAh counter on USB ... but it will be less accurate than counting mAh direct charging on the battery

Here is what you need:

Do you have one from Fairfone?
It's good?
I add mine ... normal Samsung Mega 6.3

Hold on to chance ... this morning

But good at that price I prefer a secondhand Mega 6.3: green Fairfone but not given

It is the concern with everything that boasts of being green (for good reason or less ...) but which is much more expensive ...
Because don't forget that the least € in purchasing power is pollution ... (more or less depending on how you earn your living ...)
Otherwise happy when the Fairphone finally arrives at an access provider!
On the other hand, the battery looks light (small) for a smartphone of this size ... Understand little endurance? Or is it that it is super well optimized in terms of hard and software?

Re: The industrial obsolescence, history of deception
A test in French ... not terrible (but AMHA quite honorable: how to compete with the billions of Samsung or Apple?) And which confirms my impression: the battery is too light ...

Re: The industrial obsolescence, history of deception
Well it's simple (in theory, in practice it quickly becomes a bit complex to quantify): to earn a living, everyone has to do a job that will be more or less polluting ...
It strongly depends on the field of activity but also on the distance between work and sleep, the energy performance of the factory (process) or the premises ... etc etc ...
Let's limit ourselves to CO2 to simplify to give an example ...
For every euro earned, a steel, oil or car manufacturer employee will emit much more CO2 than an employee of a wind turbine manufacturer, solar panels, insulation or ecological houses. .
Because the manufactured products will, during their lifetime, either emit even more CO2 (than the gray CO2) or absorb the gray CO2 ... in part or in totality
I don't know if someone has already put a name on this reasoning method but we could do it here
This is upstream, downstream we can make the same reasoning: the more we choose to buy "unfair" products (to stay in the term "Fairphone") the more CO2 we will emit ... here too it becomes quickly complex to quantify, 2 examples:
If you buy apples from South Africa or mutton from Chile, the same € spent will emit more CO2 indirectly than if you buy local and seasonal ...
If you go to the islands for your holidays rather than staying in your region, ditto ...
In short the more we have purchasing power, the more, generally, we emit CO2 (unless we are called Elon Musk ... and again) ... and the more we consume terrestrial resources ...
