Yes this model is not cheap (it is besides the most expensive bulb that we have but also the most "sophisticated") but if you take into account the fact that it is necessary to buy a variator (10 € approximately) in addition to another bulb it immediately hurts "less" (to the wallet of course). Not to mention the fact that it is not possible to vary the other CFLs.

Attention a priori this model is not compatible with the existing electronic variators (it works by level of power controlled by a fast cycle ON / OFF) but according to Megaman, the "next" version will be it (but also by stage) .

Could you tell me "by step", and if you have any information on the when of the next version.

For the stages, it is 4 stages of different power. Everything is explained in detail on the page of the variable CFL bulb

On the box it is clearly marked incompatible with ELECTRONIC variators but you can vary the steps by putting the variator on minimum and maximum to simulate an ON / OFF

I just called Megaman and the neon light bulb variable without leveling will only be available in 2008. It will work exactly like a halogen: continuous variation of the power with an electronic variator but also always step by step if no variator.

wow how quickly to answer : Mrgreen: : Mrgreen:
ok for the steps, I will have to go back to school to understand the text.

Good for the dimmer I will test it at the end of the next month (budget story) because I am thinking of ordering some, and if it does not work with my dimmer I can always change it or the meters instead of the incandescent bulbs, because it m still have to be replaced at home. : Idea: : Mrgreen:

Well, her bulbs are great. : Mrgreen:

For the dimmer its not working, I tested and its made Christmas garland : Shock: and I do not have the possibility of putting it on / off directly, but with a normal bulb its working fine, but this is not the intended purpose.

: Arrow: So first, I put back a normal switch.
In any case, the four levels of lighting are very comfortable. : Mrgreen:

Too bad there is only E27 in the base. : Cry:
