At the moment, I don't have more product information than the one quoted above, so approximate answers:

  • (approximate) range of the laser?

A hundred meters guess ... like all laser pointers.
  • size of the beast?

At the size of a "big" pen a priori according to the photos ...
  • type of power supply?

Button cell (yuck) or LR03 AAA (less worse ca exists in battery)

I confirm my interest.
Of course, I would have preferred a system of power supply by dynamo, but of this size there, do not dream ...

Well if it's AAA it's not too serious given that they exist in batteries .... but if it's buttons I don't think we will offer the product ... I'll find out.

Otherwise there would also be a new product: house numbers with led lighting powered by a solar cell but hey I find that a little gadget ...

Rahh it's hard to be econologist !! : Cheesy:

+1
A sticker or a felt tip on the letterbox, at the gray energy level, is still better than an electronic device, even powered by solar ...

Well, here I am exposing my problem:
For years I have been using powerful portable lamps powered by a 6v 4AH battery, with dimensions: 10cm (h) x 7cmx 4,5cm. The problem is that batteries don't last forever and I can't find them at a reasonable price. Example, the battery is worth 20 € and the new lamp with battery, around 10 €. You know the problem, so rather than buying another battery, we buy another lamp, and therefore we throw away the old lamp .... and the old battery to the Pb with (so not where it should be). And me, I don't like to throw away, because it makes waste that must be treated afterwards.
So, Christophe, if you can get this kind of battery for less than a new lamp (you can always dream), I'm a buyer.

No because there are already plenty of sites specializing in batteries ... and imagine the number of references that you would have to have ...

If the battery is "used" and charged "correctly" it can last quite a long time (5 to 10 years depending on the use and the type of battery ....)

Well, well, too bad!
The batteries on the lamps that I buy last 2/3 years maximum but it is true that the chargers are undoubtedly not "top".

in fact, it is a distribution circuit problem: this type of battery is sold by wholesalers to retailers (for example, alarm installers 6 to 7 euros each.
But you have to count the shipping costs, VAT and profit.

The lamps, they are imported from China by chains of big stores, by several thousand pieces at a time.

it's like a car; have you ever tried to remake a car using spare parts ???
