Ditto ... well when we were kids we were caught ... right!

... my other half is not careful enough and it makes me sick : Cheesy: (mebon she comes there ... question of awareness ... it takes time ...)

On the other hand, don't forget THE basic rule:
- traces of grease solvents (whatever they are) destroy the essential fatty acids of polyunsaturated fats (edible oils of first cold pressing). So with us we don't use detergents, we do “differently”. No risk of it ending up in a purification plant ...
- for example the salad bowls are cleaned with water, wiped with some absorbent and air dried! It also allows you to use less oil! Important for salad bowls because the oil is raw and rich in fatty acid ... there contact with a solvent residue even homeopathic and / or dry ... would wreak havoc at the molecular level ...
- when it is necessary to clean animal fats from pots, that's fine, it does not matter, but it should be allowed to soak and / or rinse thoroughly.
- the best thing is steam cooking. It's self-cleaning ... The must: the "Marion" steam kettle, specially designed with its dome-shaped lid, so that pollutants (natural, chemical or solvents ...) fall back into the water in the kettle by condensation without ever touching the food (or are expelled by pressure). The ultimate!

Obamot is remarkable !!
And apparently I'm not the only one "starving generation" to econology, leaving nothing on the plate !!

This term is that of a Japanese who came to France, a child who suffered from hunger at the end of the war in Japan (and therefore of the starving generation) and unable to leave anything on his plate, while this Japanese very small, with an even smaller stomach, had all the trouble in the world to swallow the big platters of noodles and big pizzas of the restaurant, but still he left nothing !!

To not have dishes just eat without too much fat, wash with water and as explained by Obamot, it's much better for health without laundry !!

We swallow less junk by not using a dishwasher of perfectly secret and unknown composition, but which with its detergents leaves me unpleasant molecules on the hands very difficult to remove !! (probably worse than biphenol ????????)

To avoid throwing bread that hardens too quickly, make your bread with good organic multi-grain flour (3 times more expensive) but much better in taste (almost a cake) which hardens much less quickly, good for 3 days, and which nothing remains !!
Much better result this organic flour bread not found at the baker, cheaper in the end and no waste and also more excess salt in the bread !!

Christophe wrote:... and not just plates: pots, pans, dishes ...

So don't laugh while reading the title: I'm very serious!
(well, I believe...).

I start from the following thesis: a lot of food is wasted by remaining "stuck" to the plate, especially with dishes in sauce.

The generation born before the 2nd world war a / used to wipe their plates systematically with bread (especially in the countryside), it was not for nothing: they knew (still) the value of food (and the price of hunger)!

The economic gain from this lost habit is currently at least threefold:

a) less food waste
b) easier to do dishes: saving detergent and less dirt in the sink / siphon
c) eating bread is eating a simple food with low processing, often local and therefore with low ecological impact

So crazy idea or not? The debate has begun...

ps: Remundo APEAP does that suit you? : Cheesy:

it suits me very well, I also practice!

In "developed" countries, 40% of food is wasted. It's a real scandal : Shock:

See on this subject the excellent documentary film we feed the world with the participation of Jean ZIEGLER.

The film begins with an interview with a truck driver from Vienna (capital of Austria) who takes 6 tonnes of bread made the previous day and unsold to cremate. The guy is dismayed to see that every day he throws away edible food which corresponds in quantity to the consumption of bread from the 2nd city of Austria ...

John Ziegler was rapporteur for the FAO (Food & Agriculture Organization) at the United Nations.
In the film, he accuses developed countries, governments and multinationals of crimes against humanity by organizing the assassination of 1 million people a year on a planet that provides (and over-consumes) enough to feed them all ...

Personally since I was mome, I lick my plate like a dog ... The dog ... We ate it, very good taste, and then it was no longer useful ... : Cheesy: : Cheesy:

An unstoppable technique for not having leftovers and reducing dishes and household garbage ... Divide the ration that you put on your moms' plate by two ... You will see after a few days:
- direct dishwashing without going through the bin
-What it was good what we ate in the canteen this afternoon
: Mrgreen:
- Silhouette mom makes an apple pie ... there will be peelings
-What good is the crust of camembert
-I'm not even talking about a black-skinned banana ...
-Mom, there wouldn't be a bit or two of fat lying around in the background of the Burgundy : Mrgreen: : Mrgreen: : Mrgreen:

When the little kids are there, without their parents, this is:
- that's it or nothing ... (we have a garden)
- you haven't finished your plate, nothing else ....
And they eat things refused at home: pumpkin, spinach, salads, compote etc ...
In short, we are torturers in the eyes of child psychiatrists.
: Evil:

Continually trying we finally succeed. So more it fails, the more likely it is that it works.

The simple fact of keeping a kid on the potty for more than a minute against his will makes you pass for a tortoiner with a pedophilchiatrist ... my moms no longer needed diapers at 1 year old. According to these crazy people I made them miss the best of their childhood ...

The best thing with these people ... is not to give them food ... it will already be that to save ... Medicine needs arms for things more serious than the prescription of painkillers for kids a too active polish and anti depressants for parents who can no longer support them ...

No problem with hard bread, I soak it in small pieces in a good vegetable soup; it's excellent

Absolutely and we have a little subject about it: https://www.econologie.com/forums/we-feed-th ... t7414.html

Damm! The beggar is missing (bedelman in Alsatian) but it looks quite like: http://www.lesfoodies.com/papyclaude/re ... ruxelloise

So good idea these recipes with old bread but a little off topic .... a subject on "recovery recipe" would be welcome. We also have a forum "eco-friendly recipes" but which remains quite empty (of recipes): https://www.econologie.com/forums/consommati ... -vf51.html
