Luc Chatel Minister of Education sucks in calculus

He is from current generation of computer and programmable calculators that think for students !!

It is certain that this minister, incapable even of the order of magnitude, will make errors in monumental judgments and decisions !!

Otherwise, for a century, all observers have noted a perpetual decline in knowledge at school, more Latin, replaced by math, etc. !!!!!

But in the past very few did long studies and the selection started very early at 10, on the spelling without mistakes !!
It was as absurd as learning knowledge that you will never use !!

Those without motivation, went to work, with little knowledge !!

Thus, Brazil (number 2 on the document below), although thirty times larger than the following countries, looks like an island barely longer than the Italian peninsula. The Japanese archipelago (number 3) is represented by its four main islands, and Italy (number 1), in addition to its boot, includes Sicily, Sardinia ... and Corsica!

I don't think the students were disturbed by Italy with or without Corsica. They recognized Italy thanks to its boot shape without looking any further.
On the other hand my daughter saw Africa instead of Brazil without for a moment making the difference between country and continent.
Japan having had Fukushima, the teachers must have said that Japan had to be revised

Not made on purpose, a mathematically rigorous statement should have said:

"10 identical items cost in total 22 euros "

OU "The invoice for 10 identical items is 22 euros "...

christophe hello
Not made on purpose, a mathematically rigorous statement should have said:

"10 identical objects cost a total of 22 euros"

OR "The invoice for 10 identical items is 22 euros" ...

This is the whole problem of supposedly obvious statements thus for: how many are two and two? Most will answer: 4. While two and two do .... two and two. ET doesn't mean more!
for French, there should be some consistency to avoid spelling mistakes (for fun: in how many different declensions can we write the word spelling so that the pronunciation is kept phonetically? You have 5 minutes !!! : Evil: ) So thus for the word faith, we write faith (without E) and the liver (with an E)! They are all crazy these Gallic! : Cheesy:

I do not especially want to defend such and such.

But the statement was ambiguous and rather than responding quickly, it was necessary to clarify whether the price was unitary or global ...

What you do not understand is that for him, the answer is normal .... let's see:

- How much are 15 objects if 10 are worth 22 euros ... he does the usual calculation ... (22 x 15): 10 = 33 ................. less my usual 50% discount ... that gives 16.5 !!!
Voila, you are just not used to political calculations !!! : Cheesy: : Cheesy: : Cheesy:
