“The Chinese government wants to adopt more efficient measures to save energy and develop new sources of renewable energy in order to establish a stable, economical and clean energy supply system. This is what Chinese Premier WEN Jiabao said at an energy meeting he chaired in April 2006 in Beijing.

This conference also indicated that China must attach importance to the exploitation and the use of renewable resources such as hydraulic energy, wind power or solar energy.
